    1. Sift flour with baking powder and salt – set aside..
    2. Combine the water, vanilla together. - MIX DOUGH
    3. Cream butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy
    4. Add the vanilla and milk – mix well. - Lastly, add flour in two batches and foam a smooth cookie dough.
    5. If cookie dough feels dry -add one additional tbsp of milk.
    6. Wrap the cookie dough in cling wrap and chill until firm.
    7. Preheat the oven to 180 C
    8. Roll chilled cookie dough about 1/4 inch thick on a lightly floured surface with cookie cutters of your choice.
    9. Place on a cookie tray and bake on the middle shelf for 8 to 10 minutes.
    10. Cool completely before you decorate.
    11. For the icing : combine meringue powder, icing sugar and water in a stand mixture
    12. You will get a paste like consistency, you can adjust the consistency by adding little drops of water according to your choice of frosting.
    13. You can add colour to this frosting.
    14. After frosting the cookies let it dry for one hour minimum.
