    In most parts of the Middle East, falafel is made with ground chickpeas. However, in Egypt, we make it with dried fava beans. They are best served with pita bread, tomato, onions, and tahini sauce.

    1. Prepare Falafel Ingredients
    2. Get 2 cups soaked overnight chickpea
    3. Make ready 2 small onions
    4. Prepare 10/12 garlic cloves
    5. Make ready 1/2 tsp cummin powder
    6. Get 1/2 tsp coriander powder
    7. Take 1 tsp red chilli powder
    8. Prepare 1/2 tsp black pepper crushed
    9. Take 1 tsp lemon juice
    10. Take 1 cup Handull of chopped coriander leaves
    11. Prepare 2 tsp maida / all purpose flour / bread crumbs
    12. Make ready 1/4 tsp baking soda
    13. Get to taste Salt
    14. Prepare as needed Oil for deep fry

    Peanut or vegetable oil, for frying. Scoop out heaping tablespoons of the mixture and shape it into balls or small patties. Fry in batches, without crowding, until nicely browned, turning as necessary; total cooking time per. Falafel is a popular Middle Eastern "fast food" made of a mixture of chickpeas (or fava beans), fresh herbs, and spices that are formed into a small patties or balls.

    Instructions to make Falafel:

    1. Firstly soak 2 cups of chickpeas overnight.
    2. Next day drain off the water & transfer soaked chickpea to a food processor(mixer) and blend it.
    3. Add garlic cloves in it.
    4. Blend coarsely without adding water.
    5. Mix coarse & all other ingredients (except oil) in a bowl & mix well.
    6. Heat oil in a kadhai/pan.
    7. Take a tsp of mixture & make patties from it & fry them on medium flame.
    8. Serve those patties hot with sauce or other dips.
